Another high quality release from Ashton, the Benchmade is made by Don Pepin Garcia in Nicaragua. Ashton is trying to steal the value throne from Flor de Oliva with this blend. A Nicaraguan puro, the Benchmade is constructed with long and short fillers, a Nicaraguan binder and the wrapper is a Sumatra seed leaf grown in Nicaragua. The Sumatra seed wrapper gives the Ashton Benchmade a flavor profile very similar to another of Don Pepin's creations, the Cubao. This medium bodied stick gives an earthy, spicy smoke with hints of sweetness.
