In June of 2002, Drew Estates decided to release their long-awaited 'Spiced Cigar Blend' - also known as Ambrosia. This marked the culmination of an experimental blending of spiced tobaccos. Ambrosia was born after Drew Estates found the necessary ingredients for fine Natural Cigars. During their search, it was discovered that rare native spices from South Asia and Europe would prove to be useful. They blended them with two very distinct and different classes of tobacco - genuine vintage tobacco leaves from Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco leaves grown on their own farm in Esteli from their very first harvest. These cigars are aged 120 days to ensure that all of the Ambrosia's "ploomed" complex tastes develop. This aging stage is followed by a stage of curing in cedar cabinets for 45 days where the cigars pick up an aromatic quality, enhancing the already unique spiced flavor. Drew Estates took the fine art of cigar-making to new heights by creating the Ambrosia Cigar line. They use only super premium tobaccos that are rich and robust with tremendous body and complexity. They carefully blend these finest quality leaves with sweet mild tobaccos grown in their own hand-tended fields in the rich, fertile mountains near Estelli, Nicaragua. They enhance the flavors with exotic native spices from South East Asia and Europe to create a line of cigars that must be experienced. The line consists of five different cigars—Vann Reef (Robusto); Mother Earth (Toro); Tripple (Corona); Nectar (Corona); and Spice (Torpedo).
