Cuvee
Every Year, when Cusano harvests its Dominican tobaccos, the top 10% are used for the making of their Cuvee line. You can certainly see the difference in the three blends that make up the Cuvée line. Cuvée is term used in the making of a French wine and derives from the French word for vat or tank. When applied to other products it is used to refer to a batch that is blended by the manufacturers to produce a certain taste.
Cuvée 151 are full-bodied and complex cigars, their dark and luxurious Brazilian Maduro leaf giving the smoke a kick of black pepper, followed quickly by sweet notes of pine and anise.
Cuvee Rouge has two wrappers that contribute to the flavor - an Ecuadorian "Red" Sun Grown wrapper and a Dominican Sun Grown wrapper finish of this beautiful cigar. The binder is an Olor Dominicano leaf, the fillers all Dominican, with Criollo '98, Piloto Cubano, and Olor Dominicano.
Cuvee Blanc is the mildest of the Cuvee blends, reminiscent of a Cusano 18 Double Connecticut but more refined. It has a Peruvian wrapper that is covered by a Connecticut shade wrapper grown in Ecuador. Filler and binder are important to the flavor and in this cigar both of which are Dominican.
Each blend is available in Churchill, Robusto, Salomon (Perfecto), and Toro Gordo sizes.
