The Macanudo brand of cigars is the best selling brand in the United States. This is due to the approachability of the cigars. The Macanudo lines are all mild, excepting the recently released Macanudo 1968. Made by General Cigar Macanudos are all very smooth cigars made with well aged and processed tobaccos. Varying countries contribute tobacco to the motley lines, Mexican, Nicaraguan, Dominican, USA Connecticut shade and broad leaf wrappers, and some Honduran tobacco as well.
Macanudo was originally developed by Ramon Cifuentes. The Macanudo Cafe series is mild and smooth. The Macanudo Robust is slightly stronger than the Cafe line but still quite mild it has a darker Connecticut wrapper. The Macanudo Maduro is also mild and is made with a Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper. The Macanudo Vintage 2000 line is even milder than the Cafe. The Macanudo Gold is a limited edition line and is made with a golden Connecticut wrapper. Finally, the most recent addition to the Macanudo line up is the 1968. There is some actual strength and this line is well into medium and approaching full-bodied. Macanudo's lines appeal to every kind of smoker.
