The Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Legend is the newest and strongest revamp of the Hoyo de Monterrey brand. The filler is a blend of Nicaraguan leaf from Ometepe and Dominican ligero. The binder is Nicaraguan and the wrapper is a Connecticut broadleaf which is also used in the Excalibur 1066 Dark Knight blend. The Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Legend is a departure from the other Hoyo de Monterrey blends in that it is not creamy nor does it resemble coffee. This cigar is kick you in the mouth spice, reminiscent of a Don Pepin Garcia pepper bomb. The Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Legend is available in three sizes: the Challenger is a robusto, the Conqueror is a toro, and the Crusader is a corona. The Conqueror was rated 91 by Cigar Insider.
