Joya de Nicaragua is a brand that has been around since the 1960s. However, due to the political unrest there production was abandoned. It re-emerged in 1970 and soon became one of Nicaragua's top premium cigars. Joya de Nicaragua Clasico cigars are a smooth, medium-bodied cigar based on a blend of top quality Cuban-seed Nicaraguan fillers and binders. The wrapper is Nicaraguan Criollo capas, giving off a smoke that has a fine aroma with a flavor that is woody with strong herbal notes. Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 made its debut in 2002 to celebtate the relaunch of the brand following the hiatus in production due to the civil unrest in the country and seeks to recapture Joya’s famous blends from the 70’s.
