The Tabacos Baez brand is made by Don Pepin Garcia and is named after his hometown in Cuba. The Tabacos Baez started out as a cigar rolled by students, the same quality and tobacco just rolled by new rollers. They were cheep and high quality, this brought many customers to the table. The Tabacos Baez is no longer rolled by inexperienced students though, and the price has done nothing but rise. But for a brand name by Don Pepin, these are as good as it gets. This medium bodied cigar is a gem. Very similar to the Cabaiguan line Pepin makes for Pete Johnson, the Tabacos Baez flavor profile is woody, has some coffee flavor, some signature Don Pepin spice, and a hazelnut flavor that is quite enjoyable. The line used Ecuadorian Connecticut wrappers that are slightly darker than the typical Connecticut shade grown leaves. The filler and binder are both of Nicaraguan origin. Tabacos Baez is currently only available in two shapes the Favoritos which is a belicoso and the Monarcas which is a toro.
