These cigars are hand-made in the Raices Cubanas factory. Each Illusione Cigar is made from the finest first gen. Corojo ’99, Criollo ’98 tobacco. They are then wrapped with what some consider to be the best Café Colorado wrappers in the world. In the old Cuban-style, they are finished up with a triple cap. These cigars are compared often to other fine cigars. In fact, in 2007 Cigar Aficionado gave the Illusione cigars the 7th best cigar of the year - and that's quite an accomplishment for such a young brand. These cigars are all produced in small batches and production is fairly limited.

The Illusione Epernay is one of the newer Illusione releases, entering the market in 2009. The Epernay cigars are very complex and have a medium bodied profile, based on the Illusione eccj cigars with a rosado shade wrapper a lighter blend than the regular Illusione line.
