A new line of cigars will be released this spring from Martin Family of Cigars. The company plans on expanding this year with both a regular production line cigar and a limited release cigar.
The Pedro Martin Limited Edition is a Nicaraguan cigar that will feature tobacco from Aganorsa (Agricola Ganadera Nortena S.A.). This exclusive cigar has a 7 year old corojo wrapper that is perfect for the blend. Brand owner Maria Martin says this particular corojo wrapper has been something they have been attempting to find since 2011. The Pedro Martin Limited Edition will come in one size, a 6x52 Toro, and will sell for about $14.50 a stick.
The Pedro Martin Casa Martin is the other new release from Martin Family of Cigars. This cigar will use Nicaraguan tobacco from Aganorsa as well but will feature a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper. “This line was originally my father’s Pedro Martin blend and cigar,“ brand owner Maria Martin told Cigar Aficionado. “It was originally made in the Canary Islands by Tropical Tobacco.” The Pedro Martin Casa Martin comes in four sizes: 7x70, 6x60, 6x52 and 4 1/2x48. Each will sell between $7.30 ad $9.00 a cigar. Both of these cigars will be made at the TABSA factory in Nicaragua.
